Making Tax Digital

Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT started 1 April 2019 and most VAT registered companies now need to maintain digital records and submit VAT returns to HMRC electronically.  MTD for self assessment will follow in April 2024 with most sole traders and landlords required to make quarterly submissions to HMRC through software.  If you are not already "in the cloud" we can help.  We offer a full bookkeeping service for all clients with optional add-ons such as VAT, payroll, CIS, Gift Aid claims.

Bookkeeping, CIS and VAT returns

We use modern bookkeeping systems - QuickBooks, Xero, Autoentry and Brightpay.  VAT returns are submitted directly to HMRC as per the requirements of the Making Tax Digital initiative.  CIS returns are prepared and submitted promptly with subcontractor deductions statements provided each month.

Payroll and Autoenrolment

We can manage the whole payroll process for you including autoenrolment pension deductions and submissions to HMRC.  Brightpay Connect enables your employees to access their payroll documents on an app on their phone.  Employers have an online portal to view all payroll details.

Quickbooks, Xero, Autoentry and Brightpay

Every Cloud has teamed up with QuickBooks, Dext with Receipt Bank and Brightpay as we believe that in combination they are the best bookkeeping solutions on the market.  We also use external Apps to bring in data from other systems eg Stripe, Square, Paypal.  You can use a desktop or your phone, link your bank account, send invoices on the go, look at reports and even get the software to do the bookkeeping for you just by taking a picture on your phone!

Quickbooks Elite Proadvisor

Every Cloud is a QuickBooks Elite Partner.  That means we are really good at using it.  With subscriptions competitively priced at various levels you can choose which package is right for you.  Much of the bookkeeping can be automated or completed with a single click.


Brightpay is our payroll software.  It provides modern, fresh looking reports which are easy to understand.  Brightpay Connect is the portal which allows employees to access their documents on an app on their phone.  Employees can use the calendar to request annual leave enabling employers to have an overall view of employee absences.  


Autoentry enables you to take photos, email or upload invoices/receipts.  The data is read and is uploaded into Quickbooks.  Simply taking a photo on your phone or forwarding an email with a bill attached from a supplier will result in the transaction being recorded with a pdf of the invoice within Quickbooks, enabling you to be paper free.
